Dr Jones appeared on Daybreak, and openly discussed how electronic cigarettes are becoming more popular, and are no worse for the user's health than being addicted to coffee.

During his appearance, Dr Jones stated that electronic cigarettes are becoming so common, that Vapour Bars are being opened throughout Britian. Vapour Bars are pubs or bars that allow their customers to partake in the use of vapour or electronic cigarettes, while enjoying their favorite brew. Due to laws banning the use of cigarettes in public, many bars have banned smoking real cigarettes, but smoking electronic cigarettes in public are legal, as they are are not harmful to others. Dr Hilary Jones states that the public should be acceptable to those using an electronic cigarette, as they are completely harmless to others, and the only smell that they give off, is the smell of the flavoring that the liquid vapor is flavored with. Dr Jones also stated that it is the tar and the chemicals in a real cigarette that are harmful to both the smoker and others, but the electronic cigarette only contains liquid nicotine, and no other harmful chemicals or tar. Other guests on Daybreak stated that their friends have used electronic cigarettes, and have been able to give up smoking altogether, as the electronic cigarette allowed them to quit smoking gradually.
